Meet the Team
Tom & Barbara Cernera
Our careers began in 1991 on the north shore of Long Island where Barbara assisted many clients in the sale and purchase of their homes. Barbara secured her Broker’s license in 1998. Tom received his license in 2012, even though he married into the business long ago. Barbara earned the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation from the National Association of Realtors and Tom completed his requirements for the coveted GREEN designation.
In 2004, Barbara & Tom moved to the Orlando area where Barbara continued to work magic with people in finding their dream homes. Another move brought us to Ocala. We are homeowners in Oak Run Country Club in southwest Ocala, married over 42 years with three grown children, two of which live in New York and one here in Ocala. Some of our hobbies include socializing, traveling, reading and a little golf.
Kris Cernera
Barbara and Tom's son Kris has been exposed to the concepts of real estate sales and marketing throughout his adult life. After college Kris began working as an assistant for Barbara and Tom handling advertising and marketing tasks. After a while he wanted to take on more responsibility since he was beginning to doing things that an agent might do. With more responsibility it was clear that he needed to become a licensed Realtor®. Kris works with sellers and property management deals. He has become an integral part of the team and is involved in every transaction.
Glen Schnicke
Glen Schnicke, a Wisconsin native, joined the team a few years ago. Glen moved to Ocala in 2014. Growing up on a dairy farm, Glen really learned the meaning of hard work and has a strong work ethic. He worked as a manufacturing project manager for 31 years, giving him a unique experience in managing deadlines, delighting customers and managing projects from concept to closing. The experience and attention to detail has been invaluable in managing the multiple tasks and obstacles that occur in the course of nearly every real estate transaction.
A Purdue University graduate, Glen began his real estate career in 2014. Glen is married with 2 children, 3 step-children and 1 granddaughter. He is a member of Christ’s Church of Marion County and a member of the Friendship Lodge #53 Free and Accepted Masons and the West Marion Moose Lodge. Glen really enjoys building relationships with his customers but understands and embraces the technical side of the job as well.
